Allocate A Coruña: key insights on Green AI

As members of the consortium developing the Allocate A Coruña, led by the Concello da Coruña, we highlight some key aspects of the new article published by Elisa Filippi, PhD, Innovative Action Expert for the European Urban Initiative 👇

"Green AI begins at the problem definition stage. Before asking how to optimize a model, a city needs to determine if AI is appropriate for the problem, what type of AI would be proportional, and what public value it is expected to generate."

"ALLOCATE is now focusing on three municipal areas: mobility, waste management, and citizen incident response services. In parallel, Altia is developing proofs of concept to explore what types of applications can run on the future infrastructure and to create concrete examples for training the local IT community."

"The project is still in its early stages, and the next year will be crucial for its implementation."

Other strategic partners are collaborating on ALLOCATE, such as Altia, Universidade da Coruña and Khora Urban Thinkers.
