This week we attended the meeting with physicist Juan Ignacio Cirac, director of the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (Germany) and recipient of the 2006 Prince of Asturias Award for Scientific and Technical Research.

Organised by FEUGA. Fundación Empresa-Universidad Gallega at the Centro de Servicios Avanzados (CSA) Cidade das TIC, Cirac delivered a talk on quantum technologies, explaining how they are opening a new stage in the field of information and how they may influence the scientific, business and institutional challenges of the coming years.
