First steps towards a local computing community in A Coruña with #ALLOCATE

Primeiros pasos cara a unha comunidade de computación local na Coruña con #ALLOCATE

🔴 Take the first steps towards creating a local computing community in the A Coruña City Council that moves towards sustainable, ethical and accessible AI.

This is the main objective of the day we held today at the Centro de Servizos Avanzados (CSA) Cidade das TIC together with companies from the A Coruña technology ecosystem and other partners of the European project #ALLOCATE, such as the city council itself – which leads the initiative –, the Universidade da Coruña, Altia or Khora Urban Thinkers.

#ALLOCATE, funded by FEDER through the European Urban Initiative, seeks to strengthen the competitiveness of the Coruña ICT sector by providing training, facilitating access to real urban data, and offering a hardware and software infrastructure aimed at training algorithms to develop AI solutions that improve the public bicycle service and sustainable mobility, the citizen alert system, and waste collection and management.
